The Science of Healthy Eating series of workshops are mostly based off of the work of Dr. Michael Greger. He runs the non-profit organization at NutritionFacts.org. He and his team of researchers have pulled the best research from the scientific literature on how the food we eat can help us to become healthy and happy. He recently compiled a lot of the research into his book How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease.
We can't change our genes but the good news is that what we eat, or don't eat, can often play a bigger role in things like weight loss, mental health, chronic diseases like heart disease, type II diabetes, arthritis, lower back pain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, breast cancer, prostate cancer, ED and many more. To attend a Science of Healthy Eating Workshop we have 4 options.
1. You can attend our online large group workshop. Check our calendar on the home page for upcoming workshops.
2. You can organize a small group online workshop. Minimum of 5 participants is required to schedule a workshop. Check our calendar on the home page and propose an available time by emailing ScienceOf.org@gmail.com
3. If you live in the Houston area you can organize an in-person workshop. Minimum of 5 participants is required to schedule a workshop. Check our calendar on the home page and propose an available time by emailing ScienceOf.org@gmail.com We currently hold the in-person workshops at The Venue 11729 Spring Cypress Rd. Tomball, Texas 77377.
Depending on our schedule we can also hold the workshop in other parts of Houston. An extra travel fee of $100 per hour will be added to the price of the workshop.
4. You can sign up for a small group (5-20 participants) online or in-person workshop. Fill out the availability survey for the online workshop by clicking here and the in-person workshop by clicking here. We will contact you once the minimum number of participants have expressed interest. After you complete the survey you will see the current results and you can use the back button to change your responses at anytime. If there aren't enough people who have signed up for the time you would like to take the workshop then please help us by recruiting a few more people to fill those slots.
